Zeus - Blessed be thou!

Zeus, the Greek God of Lightning and Thunder hath finally blessed my camera! Nobody ever promised me I'd get shots of lightning the first day I try. Considering, the rain thats been happening around Bangalore, I've been lucky, it took me three days.
The sheer thrill of the lightning was one joy, but the wait for it has been all mesmerizingly different. The anticipation of the mighty discharge of static, the pleasant winds the blowing, the tiny drops of rain that, irritably, managing to find the LCD of the camera - all-in-all an enchanting experience.

Have you ever had the patience to just look the clouds when it looks 'hell is gonna break loose'? The dark and vile looking clouds menacingly seem to engulf you, and when lightning crashes, the entire scene lits up from pitch black to day light to set you free, but the sinister darkness is back in no time. The soon thunder follows sending shudders down your spine each time. Hell! I missed another lightning! Its time to try again. You run your own algorithm calculating where and when the next discharge could occur. Eventually, for me, it was a timer and the camera pointed at an arbitrary direction in the sky. I have taken close to 180 snaps over the last three days. Four of them clicked. Atleast, perservence paid off.

I can't really term it peer pressure [sorry 'goop's if you are reading this] because I can put you on to their snaps, and then you would understand why I respect each of them so much.
